Start Time 9:30am
For the second year there will be a proper open water triathlon for children and it's all being put on at the Dorney Lake Rowing Centre where events like the Eton SuperSprints, SteelMan and BananaMan take place.
John Lunt, Director of Human Race Events, has confirmed that the water temperature has reached 23.5 degrees at Dorney Lake and that wetsuits will NOT be allowed
for any of the events there this coming weekend (3rd, 4th and 5th
July). Under ITU and BTF ruling, wetsuits are banned when the water
temperature is over 22 degrees to avoid overheating and for safety
reasons.
The biking and running are all on closed roads so there's no need to worry about traffic.
Distances are:
8, 9 & 10 years: 100m swim 3km bike 1km run (start in groups of 15)
11 & 12 years: 200m swim 5km bike 2km run
13 & 14 years: 400m swim 10km bike 2.5km run

The event will be held at the Olympic rowing venue for the 2012 Olympic Games. Dorney Lake offers a clean open water swim, followed by a closed bike loop around the Lake, and finally the run goes down the side of the lake, making it the perfect course for beginners and seasoned triathletes alike. It's great for spectators, they can see you on each lap.
Full on-site parking means you can come and go while the event is taking place, we have showers and toilets aplenty and there is catering and an on-site triathlon store provided by triandrun.
