If you have to withdraw from any Human Race event, this is our Withdrawal Policy:
From the moment we begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. Your entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event – everything from barriers to toilets, from printing to safety pins, from race numbers to marketing and the VAT man. Organising any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense.
Human Race endeavours to provide you with a race. If we don’t supply that race, then we will refund your money. We understand that circumstances may arise whereby you may be unable to compete in the event. We regret to inform you that if this is the case, we will not be able to provide a refund. This is because we incur costs in organising the event and the costs remain even if you are unable to compete.
However, if you do withdraw from the event with sufficient notice we may be able to give you a credit which can be used against the entry fee of another Human Race event.
Race entries are NOT transferable. Any change to the data held on the computer system requires considerable time and cost in administration.
Providing you follow these instructions, you will be issued with a credit:
- Notify Human Race Events in writing by post.
- Enclose a stamped addressed envelope so that we can send you your credit voucher.
- Date of withdrawal is as postmarked on the envelope.
Credits will be issued after the event and as follows:
- Notification postmarked 8 weeks (61 days) or more before the event – 50% credit
- Notification postmarked 4 weeks to 8 weeks (30 to 60 days) before event – 20% credit
- Notification postmarked less than 4 weeks (29 days) before event – nil credit
Telephone messages are not acceptable.
Emails must be followed up by a letter with an SAE. (We will accept the date of the email.)
