The ASICS Off Road Series comprises five thrilling trail runs and duathlons of various distances staged at five unique locations across the South East, each presenting its own spectacular challenge. Taking place throughout the winter months, the series is targeted at all levels of athletes who want to try something different or to keep fitness levels up during the winter months. It will take you on the road less travelled and will be the most fun you can have on a Saturday morning.
The 2011/2012 Asics Off Road Duathlon Series will this year feature a new Series Championship, with the top athletes across the five-race series competing for a cash prize and the title of Asics Off Road Champion 2012.
The series starts off in November with the IceMan taking place in Frimley, Surrey. In December it's off to Camberley for MudMan followed by Hankley Common near Guildford for WildMan in January 2012 and Pippingford Park, East Sussex for the TuffMan in February. The Off Road Race Series is then completed at Eridge Park, Kent for TrailMan in March.
The terrain varies at each location and is equally challenging, from sandy hills that sap your energy to water obstacles and steep hills, ensuring there is something for everyone. There's even a relay duathlon option for those wanting to take on the challenge as part of a team.
