Given that such a large number of female athletes now enter our events and with many more wanting to give triathlon a go, we decided that the girls deserved their own event. Consequently, we're very excited about staging our fourth WomenOnly Triathlon at Dorney Lake, Eton. The event is being sponsored by Shock Absorber and in support of Breast Cancer Care.
Shock Absorber is the leading sports bra brand and at the forefront of sports bra innovation. Shock Absorber understands the importance of wearing the correct sport kit which means choosing the correct support when it comes to Triathlon. Shock Absorber have a swimwear range with integrated sports bra technology and the new RUN bra is the most effective sports bra available for running, allowing you to focus on your performance.
So now there’s no excuse. It’s time to grab your girlfriends and make sure you're part of an event that is going to give you the ultimate feeling of achievement.
Our aim is to stage an event that caters for all abilities and ages and to also create a friendly, fun, non-intimidating environment.
There are three distances available and each of them can be entered as an individual depending on how big a challenge you want. The Challenge distance can be also part of a relay team.
Our official media partner Health & Fitness will be featuring the Shock Absorber WomenOnly Triathlon in their monthly issues leading up to the event. Race at an Olympic venue!
The event will be held at the Olympic rowing venue for the 2012 Olympic Games. Dorney Lake offers a clean open water swim, followed by a closed bike loop around the Lake, and finally the run goes down the side of the lake, making it the perfect course for beginners and seasoned triathletes alike. It's great for spectators, they can see you on each lap.
Full on-site parking means you can come and go while the event is taking place, we have showers and toilets aplenty and there is catering and an on-site triathlon store provided by triandrun.
