The Shock Absorber Women Only Triathlon is proving to be a great motivator for women in their 40’s and 50’s with nearly 10% of the entrants over 50, and almost half over 40.
The event, taking place on Sunday the 10th of June, has grown to become one of the highlights of the triathlon calendar and provides a uniquely unintimidating environment for women to take on the challenge of the UK’s fastest growing multi-sport.
On the first day of glorious sunshine for weeks, around 500 women jumped on their bikes on Sunday 13th May for a 40km or 60km bike ride in the stunning location of Woburn Abbey. Bedfordshire was the first of the 2012 Cycletta’s, the leading women-only cycling event series, and next up Cycletta heads to Lydiard Park in Wiltshire on 24th June.

As one of the most popular events on the UK’s multisport calendar the 2012 Toshiba Windsor Triathlon has been sold out for months but organisers Human Race have announced today that a limited number of places are to be made available through the event’s two charity partners.
