Sunday 3rd July saw Human Race back at Dorney Lake in Eton for the first Standard Olympic distance Triathlon of the year and those expecting some fast racing were not to be disappointed.
In the first running of the Team Time Trial event, teams of three got the chance to legally draft round the bike course, while doing the same on the swim and run. Two teams from The Tom Hills Experience took the top two spots in 01.35.41 and 01.36.26 respectively with TriTalk.co.uk rounding out the podium in 01.40.13.Finishing off a packed and varied day of racing was the 55.5 Triathlon, featuring a 500m swim, 40km bike and 15km run. Peter Gowans took the win in the runner-friendly event in a time of 02.17.12 with Andrew Pownall second in 02.19.58 and Tim George third in 02.22.09.
